Learn Languages with VJLangs – A New Blog for Linguists and Language Nerds

Hi everyone! Today’s post isn’t about English grammar, pronunciation, writing, or anything like that. Instead, it’s about a friend of mine. He just started a blog himself.

My friend is a polyglot named Vijay – someone who speaks many different languages. He knows English, Malayalam, Farsi, French, Mandarin, and way too many to count honestly. He’s like a human Google translate.

VJLangs’ Blog

Vijay started a new blog where he will post about different languages in English as well as post in those languages. His most popular article right now is about Formosan languages. These are the languages spoken by the indigenous people (people who lived in an area first and longest) of Taiwan. These languages, as you learn in the article, are part of the larger Austronesian language family which includes Indonesian, Malay, Tagalog, Samoan, and many more.

You should definitely check his blog frequently if you have an interest in linguistics and learning languages other than English. Check out the video above if you want to hear him speak Malayalam, his heritage language.

Translation Services

Vijay is also a skilled translator who has worked with numerous languages. He translates poetry, song lyrics, novels, newspaper articles, social media posts, and much more. He’s available to hire for your translation needs. His per word and per hour rates are fair, and he’s open to negotiation for larger projects. He is able to work with any of the following languages:

  • English
  • Malayalam
  • Mandarin Chinese
  • French
  • Spanish
  • German
  • Portuguese
  • Farsi

He is capable of working with more if given the time and paid a higher rate. If you’re interested in working with him, go to his blog for his contact information.

That does it for today’s post. If you’re looking for some English learning goodness, check out my guide to synonyms and antonyms. Leave a comment if you found Vijay’s blog interesting or if you have another language blogger to recommend. English is awesome, but so is every language in the world!
